I'm Ashli, and I've captained USTA tennis teams for six years. One season, a rain makeup dragged on for weeks — endless texts and calls with facilities, checking player availability, negotiating with the opposing captain, constantly changing plans. When the last line was finally played, I sat in my car and cried.

Later, I texted the opposing captain. She had cried too. I couldn't believe a tennis rain makeup had brought two grown women to tears. When I got home, I decided I wasn't going through another season that way. I taught myself how software worked and began building Match Loop. The goal was never to replace captains — it was to create the tool I wished I'd had that day: one place for availability, lineups, league rules, and the hardest part of all, getting a rain makeup finished.
